Happenings

Looking out the window is a favorite past time. Bears thinks it's pretty fun too.

Her daddy spoils her and buys her ice cream from the ice cream truck. She begs for it and he can't say no. He's learned only to buy her the $1 bars now though, she wants ice cream desperately, but then doesn't actually eat much.
This guy is soooo serious about his chubs. *ahem* I mean muscle.
She liked directing me on how she wanted her mask colored.
Max has a little obsession with Raggedy Ann. Her black features are eye catching to him I think and as an extra bonus, her hands look like nipples apparently, as he's always trying to taste them.
Hiking up Bowman Fork.

Kins is getting along with Max so much better now. She tries to play with him and rarely does anything that could hurt him now.

After mowing the lawn with daddy she wanted to vacuum too.
BEETLES! These beetles are dead. But, whatever, makes no difference to Kins. She often tells me how they can bite her. This is her main focus at the park these days. Usually live beetles though.
Max loves bejewled.
I love her curls.
Checking to see if porcupine has a fever.
Here you go Max.

At a 4th of July parade.
This area of Millcreek is gorgeous. I love how the whole forest floor is covered with a green carpet.
Hangin' out playing with animals.
The rec center pool was closed on the 4th. Kins had just as much fun in her tiny pool.
At the parade. She was into digging in the dirt, but one of the floats really caught her attention for a moment.

Sharing nicely.

Stoked about the bird Kins shared with him.
At our playgroup. She didn't want to leave the trampoline for anything.
Library playtime is packed in the summer. Where's Kins??
She loves her Brama.

Mowing the Lawn

Kins is obsessed with lawn mowers. If she hears one outside, she rushes to the window and leaps up on top of the couch back to look out and see if she can see it. If we pass one on a walk, she insists on walking next to the person mowing, making them uncomfortable. I let her do it though, because she has such fun. We realized if she was in the front carrier, she could hold the handle of the mower with daddy. It was a big hit.

Healing

My incision is getting a little less obvious, but people who I don't know still notice and feel the need to ask about it. I think it's a little strange. I would never want to ask a stranger if they had just had surgery. It seems to me like the conversation could easily take a devastatingly awkward turn. "Wow! Did you have surgery on your neck?!" Me: "No. My boyfriend caught me having intercourse with another man and things went downhill from there." Or maybe, "I wish. Actually, I was really constipated and strained so hard I ruptured my platisma. It was touch and go for awhile, but it looks like  I'm going to be ok."

Max is 3 Months Old and Other Phone Pics

Max's lashes are gorgeous. They're long, black, thick, and they curl. I want lashes like his! With his blue blue eyes and lashes like these I'm going to have to work hard to teach him not to break too many hearts.
Occasionally Kins plays in her nap for her entire 2 hour nap time. She'll sing, chatter, put her blankie over her head and hide, and so on.
Sweet, sleepy baby. I love the snuggles I get before he learns how to sit, walk and run and gets too busy for snuggles.
Max loves interacting. He's usually ready with a huge smile the second you lock eyes with him.
Kins is the cutest mixture of tom boy and girly girl. She loves chapstick, bracelet, nail polish, and shoes. But, she also loves playing in dirt, growling, rough housing, and after getting hurt, she usually only cries for a minute before she wants to go check out the damage in the mirror.
Max is already 14.5 pounds. I have to take lots of pictures because he's changing and growing so fast.
Which handsome guy let me sleep a solid 8 hours last night? This one! This handsome boy! I took this pic at the park. We've been getting into a nice routine where most week nights we walk to the park. Tim runs and plays with Kins, while Max and I sit in the shade and enjoy being outside.
Max is about as happy as they come. If he's awake, he's usually ready to play.
Kins loves to climb under the covers in our bed. Usually if I can't hear her, I can find her in my dark bedroom, snuggled up with the covers pulled up to her chin.
We went to our nephew's bday party recently. It was a a rec center, and I didn't know there were kid pools like this. See all that cool equipment in the background? The pool is mostly only a foot or two deep, with slides, little waterfalls, sprayers, and towers. I found out there's one minutes from our house, so as soon as my incision from surgery is healed up enough, I predict we're going to be there at least once a week. Probably will be able to go this weekend. Pictured are grandpa and Kin's little cousin. Max was thoroughly enchanted by his aunt's glittery fingernails.
Creative use of present tissue paper. She looks like a gangsta in the making here I think.
Kins the incredible hulk. She's slightly saddened that she's going to have to whip so many butts here momentarily.
Max loves this chair even though he's not really old enough for it yet and slumps off to the side frequently, trapping one arm.
 Contemplating her power.
These pics are really out of order. Kins and daddy at the pool party birthday.
